Del Valle Pulls Away from Andress Spoiling Homecoming 44-13 

Homecoming for the Andress Eagles featured a battle of two teams looking to bounce back from tough losses the previous Friday as the Del Valle Conquistadores would make the trip up Loop 375 for this non-district matchup.

Andress would get off to a good start stopping the Conquistadores for moving the ball Del Valle’s first 3 series. Andress would open up the scoring on a 8 yard touchdown pass from Quarterback Elias Duncan to Isaiah Owens taking an early 7-0 lead.

The Eagle defense would then stop the Del Valle offense and get the ball back however the Conquistadores defense would like the spark that would continue the remainder of the night forcing a Andress fumble that was scooped Del Valle Defensive End Josh Torres would scoop up and take 64 yards to the house evening the score at 7-7. 

In the 2nd Quarter Del Valle Quarterback Jesse Ramos would take over the game with his first touchdown, an 8-yard quarterback keeper to give the Conquistadores a lead they would never let go of at 14-7. Del Valle would add a 26 yard field goal late in the 2nd quarter giving the Conquistadors a 17-7 lead at the half. 

Del Valle would take the 2nd half kick and extend their lead on Jesse Ramos’ second running touchdown of the game, an electrifying 53 yard run to put the Conquistadores up 24-7.

After that score Andress was unable to answer and Conquistador Quarterback Jesse Ramos threw touchdown passes of 25 and 44 yards to put even more distance between themselves and the Eagles.

Andress would add a late touchdown run, off a direct snap to Dominik Nava with :10 seconds left to play. The Eagles had the first and last touchdowns of the game but in between Del Valle would score 44 points.

The final score would be Del Valle 44 Andress 13. Conquistadores quarterback Jesse Ramos would have 2 Touchdowns running, 2 throwing to lead his team to victory. The loss drops Andress to 0-3 on the season and they will get a chance at their season’s first win when they visit the Horizon Scorpions.

For Del Valle they will have a tough task against Stanford recruit LJ Martin and the Canutillo Eagles.
