The El Paso Locomotive FC and Phoenix Rising FC played to a 4-4 draw as Phoenix came back and scored the last three goals of the match Saturday night at Southwest University Park.
The Locos wasted little time to get on the scoreboard first as Beto Avila scored 6 minutes into the match. Then El Paso would add another goal when Amando Moreno scored in the 34th minute. Noble Okello would give Phoenix their first goal of the night in the 45th+3 minute of the game making it 2-1 at the half.
In the second half El Paso would strike quickly as Gabby Moreno scored in the 47 minute and then six minutes later, Amando Moreno would score his second goal of the night giving the Locos a 4-1 lead.
Phoenix Rising would then go on a massive comeback and score three goals and deny the Locos their first victory of the year. Remi Cabral scored in the 69th minute, Ihsan Sacko in the 80th minute and Mohamed Traore scored the game tying goal in the 86 minute.
With the draw El Paso gets one point and are now 0-0-2 for the season. They next play on Wednesday night as they host Harpos FC in the first round of the U.S. Open Cup at 7pm at Southwest University Park.
