The UTEP women’s basketball schedule for the 2024-25 season has been finalized, head coach Keitha Adams announced Thursday. The 18-game Conference USA slate was released in July, and the Miners have now added 11 non-conference contests.
Notable non-conference contests include former CUSA rival UTSA and former WAC rival BYU, both of which take place in the Don Haskins Center. The Miners also travel to Portland and Colorado State in rematches of two highly competitive games from last season.
There will be seven non-conference home games, including four to start the year. The 2024-25 season opener on Nov. 4 sees the Miners take on Tarleton State as part of the WAC-CUSA scheduling initiative. UTEP then welcomes Morehead State (11/10), UTSA (11/16), and NM Highlands (11/23) to complete the initial home stand.
Later, the Orange and Blue host BYU (12/5), Arkansas Pine Bluff (12/19), and ENMU (12/30) to round out the non-conference schedule.
The first road tilt for UTEP comes Nov. 26 when the Miners head to Corpus Christi, Texas, to face off against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. Next the Miners travel to Portland (12/8), Utah Tech (12/14, WAC-CUSA initiative), and finish off the away contests at CSU (12/16).
The Miners are returning five players from last year’s squad, including 2023-24 assist leader Delma Zita, Ivane Tensaie, Dunja Zecevic, Luisa Vydrova, and redshirt-freshman Thelma Barbitch.
