Parkland Holds Off El Dorado 26-22

The highly anticipated nightcap at the SAC featured El Dorado hosting Parkland. The focal point of the game was the clash between El Dorado’s Aztecs offense and Parkland’s Matador defense.

The absence of Ryan Estrada for El Dorado dampened some of the pre-game excitement, yet Anthony Carrillo stepped up to provide the fireworks for Parkland. Carrillo set the tone by returning the opening kickoff for a touchdown, marking the first of his three touchdowns that evening.

Throughout most of the game, El Dorado struggled offensively and only managed to score 7 points up until the 4th quarter. The absence of their star player undoubtedly posed challenges. In contrast, the Matador offense displayed a cohesive effort to maintain control of the ball. Despite a late-game surge from El Dorado, Parkland managed to fend them off and secure a 26-22 victory.
