The 2023 High School Football season got off to an exciting start as the Pebble Hills Spartans hosted the Canutillo Eagles at the SAC on Thursday night in a game that came down to the wire.
Pebble Hills controlled the first half as they had a 21-7 lead going into the break. But in the second half Canutillo would come back and tie the game with five minutes left in the game.
With 1.5 seconds left to go in the game Pebble Hills kicker Aaron Ortega kicked the game wining field that gave the Spartans their first victory of the year 24-21.
