Locos Comeback to beat Las Vegas Lights FC 2-1

The El Paso Locomotive FC moved into first place in the Western Conference after coming back to beat the Las Vegas Light FC 2-1 Wednesday night at Southwest University Park.

It wouldn’t take Vegas long to get on the scoreboard as Preston Tabortetaka scored a goal in the 3rd minute mark thanks to an assist from Eric Oteng.

El Paso would tie up the game when Lucho Solignac scored on a penalty kick in the 24th minute.

The Locos would take the lead for good in the 32nd minute after Erik McCue scored a goal off a corner from Denys Kostyshyn.

In the second half the Locos defense would buckle down and prevent Las Vegas any more goals.

With the win, El Paso earns 3 points and now is in first place in the Western Conference with a record of 9-3-2, with 29 points. They will stay at home for their next match as they take on the Tampa Bay Rowdies at Southwest University at 7:30 pm
