The Detroit City FC gave the El Paso Locomotive FC their third loss in a row as they beat them 3-1 Saturday Night at Southwest University Park.
Detroit got on the board first in the 9th minute when Connor Rutz’s kick hit El Paso’s Yuma on the foot and went in for an own goal.

The Locos would answer eight minutes later when Denys Kostyshyn would score for El Paso with a header shot that came off a deflection.
No more scoring was done in the first half as both defenses buckled down but in the second half, Detroit City would take the lead when Yazeed Matthews scored in the 60th minute of the match.
El Paso played aggressive but they wouldn’t be able to score any more goals. Detroit would add another goal in the 78th minute when Maxi Rodriguez scored a goal that would cement the victory for them.
With the loss El Paso is now 0-3 with 0 points. For their next game they will be on the road for the first time this season as they travel to play at Louisville City FC on Saturday March 25. Kickoff will be at 1PM MST.
