The Chapin Huskies historic season came to an end on Saturday afternoon as they lost to Mansfield Summit 54-47 in the Elite 8 of the 5A Region 1 Boys Basketball Tournament at the Key Yeager Arena in Witchita Falls, Texas.
The game was close for the most of the game but in the fourth quarter after Chapin had tied the game at 42, Summit went on a 10-0 that would secure them the victory.
This was the first regional title game for the Huskies and their incredible season ends at 30–7. Chapin’s Bryson Goldsmith and Brandon Hymes each earned All Region honors for the Huskies.
