Canutillo are crowned district champions after a 49 – 0 win over El Paso High. The Eagles have now won 6 consecutive games, three of which the defense has not allowed a single point.
Coach Scott Brooks conveyed high praise about Canutillo defensive star Jesus “Chuy” Carrillo and the leadership he displays on the gridiron.
Brooks also mentioned how LJ Martin is a generational player making the Eagles offense so explosive, despite Martin not playing at full strength.
Canutillo will host Amarillo Palo Duro on Thursday in the Bi-District Round of the playoffs
