Franklin Delivers in Must Win Game Over El Dorado

Franklin took the trip to the east side to play the El Dorado Aztecs. A close game for one half quickly got out of hand as the Cougars would win 42-24.

Early on Franklin looked in control on both sides of the ball jumping out to 14-0 lead in the first quarter. El Dorado was trying to climb back into the game lead by the Estrada brothers. In a blink of an eye late in the first quarter we would see a tie at 21 a piece. Most of the scoring came early.

The second quarter went a little slower as both defenses stepped up. One touchdown by Franklin would take us to half time 28-21. In the third quarter we would only have a field goal by the Aztecs to bring it to a 4 point game. Adjustments by both sides had it gridlocked.

The fourth quarter became the Beau Sparks show, the only two touchdowns in the fourth came from Sparks at receiver and a pick six at safety, that would be the difference. The veteran leader would come up big to put the game away for the Cougars.

Franklins playoff hopes were win and in to start the night and now the Cougars will wait to see where they will travel next week. El Dorado season will finish at 5-5.
