The Pebble Hills Spartans remained undefeated by beating the El Dorado Aztecs 35-22 at the Socorro Athletic Complex on Thursday Night.
Both teams defenses started the game well as they didn’t allow any points in the first quarter.
In the second quarter, the Aztecs were first to get on the board when QB Quincy Estrada scored on a 34yd TD run with 9:56 left in the quarter.

Pebble Hills would respond with 13 unanswered points as they got a 16yd rushing TD from Sam Chacon and a 22 yd TD pass from Gael Ochoa to Jalile Bost, giving the Spartans a 13-7 lead at halftime.
In the third quarter Pebble Hills would score at the 8:34 mark as Jacob Ledesma would have a 6yd TD run. With the 2 point conversion, The Spartans had a 21-7 lead and had scored 21 unanswered points.
El Dorado would gain some momentum three minutes later when they would sack Ochoa in the end zone getting a safety and in the ensuing drive, they would get a 15 yd TD run from Ryan “Ray Ray” Estrada to make the score 21-16.
But that’s as close as the Aztecs would get as the Spartans running game took over as they scored another two touchdowns when Sam Chacon had a 20yd TD run and Ledesma would have a 7yd TD run.
El Dorado would add another touchdown to make the final score Pebble Hills 35 El Dorado 22.
With the win Pebbles Hills is 4-0 and 2-0 in district play and they will host Coronado next Friday. El Dorado is now 2-2 and 0-2 in district play and will travel to take on Eastwood next week
