El Dorado Comes Back to Beat Chapin 20-10

Defense wins ball games, and that was the case in the game between the El Dorado Aztecs and the Chapin Huskies. Both defenses stepped up early in the late game at the Socorro Activities Complex. Chapin and El Dorado was a defensive struggle for most of the game.

With all the speed and playmakers surely the game would be fast paced and high scoring, but both defenses had answers. Two turnovers by both sides and a blocked field goal, Chapin would walk into half time up 10-7.

The second half adjustments came in and “Rey Rey” Estrada would change everything. After only having 5 touches in the first half he would get 16 and get over 150 yards and a touchdown, El Dorado would go on to pitch a shutout 13-0 in the second half to win 20-10.

With the El Dorado is now 2-0 and will start district play with Eastlake next Friday.
