Bel Air Dominates Socorro 48-0

For the first time in the Eric Scogin Era, the Bel Air Highlanders have started the season 2-0 as they beat the Socorro Bulldogs 48-0 on Thursday night at the Socorro Athletic Complex

When I talked to Coach Scogin pregame, he said that they intended to run the ball and that’s exactly what the Highlanders did. Socorro had no answer for running attack as three out of four touchdowns scored in the first half came via the ground.

The Highlanders had a 27-0 lead at halftime and they continue to dominate the second half as they scored another three touchdowns.

Bel Air Quarterback Noah Moreno had a good game as he passed for two TDs and rushed for one as well. Running back Zack Martinez had two rushing TDs and Adam Silva and Chris Davis also scored receiving TDs.

The Highlanders look to continue their winning ways next week as they will host Chaparral, while the Bulldogs with have a bye week before they start district play
