Coronado ran pass Chapin and notch their first win under new head coach Mike Pry 34 – 20 on Friday night at Quarles-Brooks Stadium. T- birds defensive back Blake Randag had a pick six early in the 1st quarter to put Coronado up 7.
Coronado’s offense and special teams both shined with big plays that later contributed to the T-birds first half domination. Despite the T-Birds 24 – 6 lead to start the 3rd quarter, Pry told his team to stay focused.

“Just staying composed, we have some veteran kids that played a lot of football,” Pry said. “So we just have to put the ball in their hands and let them play football.”
Junior quarterback Owen Levesque and senior running-back Cade Little closed the show with consistent first down pickups which powered through Chapin’s defense.
After the Game, Coach Pry talked about the win
Next week, Coronado hosts Canutillo at Quarles-Brooks stadium, whereas Chapin look to bounce back as they travel to El Dorado.
