Locos Drop Third Match in a Row

Louisville City FC handed the El Paso Locomotive FC their third loss in a row when they beat them 1-0 at Southwest University Park on Saturday Night.

Louisville came out aggressive in the first half but the Locomotive defense was able to hold them at bay. El Paso also had it’s opportunities to score but the Louisville City FC defense also prevented them from scoring.

It all changed in the second half when in the 52 minute, Louisville’s Jorge Gonzalez scored off a corner shot.

That’s all the scoring that would happen in the match as both offenses wouldn’t be able to convert any more goals.

Here’s what El Paso Head Coach and Technical Director John Hutchinson had to say after the match:

“There was just moment of a defensive lapse, the boys showed and pushed to the end. We just keep working. I’m a big believer in you’ll find out a lot about people, just like the start of the season. The staff, the players, myself, you’ll find out a lot about people. These are the times you see what people are made of. I am fortunate I’ve got a good bunch of guys but we need something to bounce our way.”

With the loss El Paso is now 9-9-6 with 33 points. For their next match, they will travel to take on Monterey Bay F.C. in California next Saturday at 8pm.
