Locomotive FC Earns a Point in 1-1 Draw with Detroit City FC

The El Paso Locomotive FC played to a 1-1 draw against the Detroit City FC in a nationally televised game on ESPN in Detroit on Saturday afternoon.

Detroit got on the scoreboard in the 23rd minute of the match when Pato Botello-Faz scored on a shot into the far corner of the net.

Detroit’s lead wouldn’t last long as it would take the Locos just nine minutes to tie the game up in the 32nd minute when Eric Calvillo would score after getting a pass from Ricardo Zacarias.

That’s all the scoring that would happen in the match as both defenses and goaltenders would buckle down and play good defense.

With the draw, the Locomotive FC get a point and are now 7-6-4 with 25 points. After two games on the road they return back to Southwest University Park to take on the New York Red Bulls II from the Eastern Conference on Saturday June 25th. Kickoff is at 7:30 pm.
