2022 UTEP Soccer Fall Schedule Released

EL PASO, Texas – UTEP soccer will play a regular season schedule featuring 18 games plus two exhibition contests to kick off the 2022 campaign, head coach Kathryn Balogun announced on Wednesday.

Fans will have their first opportunity to see the Miners take the pitch on Aug. 10 when Colorado College comes to University Field for an exhibition. UTEP then rounds out the preseason slate with another home exhibition on Aug. 14 against Sul Ross State.

A home date with UC Davis (Aug. 18) officially starts the new season before the Miners embark on a five-game road trip to Abilene Christian (Aug. 21), Southern Utah (Aug. 25), UNLV (Aug. 28), NM State (Sept. 1) and Wyoming (Sept. 4). UTEP then concludes the non-conference portion of the schedule by hosting Incarnate Word (Sept. 9) and Nevada (Sept. 11).

The Conference USA schedule will see the Miners play every team, starting with back-to-back home contests to start league action against FIU (Sept. 15) and LA Tech (Sept. 18). UTEP will also host UAB (Sept. 29), Middle Tennessee (Oct. 16) and North Texas (Oct. 23).

In addition to the five home games, the Miners will head to Western Kentucky (Sept. 22), Charlotte (Sept. 25), Florida Atlantic (Oct. 7), Rice (Oct. 13) and UTSA (Oct. 28).

“It will be nice to have a full schedule again with 20 games and a good split of home and away games,” Balogun said. “The last few seasons we’ve found ourselves on the road a lot, and this year we have more opportunities to play at University Field in front of our home crowd. We are especially excited to play all 10 teams in Conference USA.”

The eight regular season home games are the most for the UTEP program since going 6-3-1 at University Field on the way to a 10-7-3 record during the 2019 season.

Season tickets for the 2022 season are now on sale for just $35 per seat. Fans can call 915-747-UTEP or visit UTEPMiners.com/Tickets for more information.
