Brent Rooker’s Walk Off Homer Gives Chihuahuas 9-6 Win over River Cats

The El Paso Chihuahuas beat the Sacramento River Cats 9-6 in exciting fashion as Brent Rooker hit a three run game ending home run on Saturday night at Southwest University Park.

The Chihuahuas hit five home runs, including three after the seventh inning. El Paso first baseman Aderlin Rodriguez went 3-for-4 with two home runs and a double. Third baseman Matthew Batten went 1-for-4 with a game-tying home run with two outs in the bottom of the eighth inning.

With the win the Chihuahuas are now 20-15 and have won three out of the five games in the series which will wrap up tomorrow at noon at Southwest University Park.
