Current San Diego Padres Pitcher and 2018 Cy Young Award Winner Blake Snell made an MLB rehab start in the El Paso Chihuahuas 11-7 victory over the Sacramento River Cats Tuesday night at Southwest University Park.
Snell pitched five innings, allowed only one run on three hits, struck out seven and didn’t walk any batters.
Snell had a lot of help from his teammates as the Chihuahuas hit a season-high five home runs.
With the win the Chihuahuas have won the last 10 out of 14 games. El Paso pitchers have allowed only three runs in their last 28.2 innings. They now have a record of 18-13.
They will take on the River Cars again on Wednesday at Southwest University Park. First pitch is at 6:35 pm.
