Locos Win Second Match in a Row

For the first time this season, the El Paso Locomotive FC have won back to back matches. On Wednesday night, they scored three unanswered goals to beat FC Tulsa 3-1 at Southwest University Park.

For a second, it looked like it was going to be a long night for the Locos as FC Tulsa got on the score board just eight minutes into the match as J.J. Williams scored a goal on a header.

But the Locos would answer and tie the match three minutes later when Dylan Mares would also hit a header goal.

The match would remain tied until Lucho Solignac would score a left footed goal from the center of the box in the 64th minute. For the rest of the match, El Paso would play great defense limiting FC Tulsa’s opportunities on goal.

Then in the 89th minute, Lucho would score his second goal of the match cementing the victory for El Paso. That’s the second match in a row that Lucho has scored two goals. He has now scored five goals in the last three matches.

With the win, the Locomotive FC gets the three points and are 3-5-1, 10 points. They will have a quick turnaround as they play their third match in a week when they take on LA Galaxy II on Saturday night at Southwest University Park. Kickoff is at 7:30 pm.
