DALLAS, Texas – UTEP junior Sophie Delfosse was honored by Conference USA as a third team All-Conference selection for her efforts this season.
In addition to posting the best scoring average for the Miners at 74.8, Delfosse was the top UTEP finisher in seven of 10 tournaments on the season, including three top-10 finishes.
Some of her highlights this year included shooting a season-best 69 in the second round of the Pat Bradley Invitational at FIU and finishing tied for third at the HBU Husky Invitational, her best individual finish of the season. She also a compiled a season-low 217 at the MSU/Payne Stewart Memorial to tie for fourth and racked up a top-10 result at the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic, tying for sixth with a 3-over par 219.
On the campaign, Delfosse had five rounds with a 72 or lower score.
This is the second straight season that she has been recognized by C-USA after also being named to the third team a year ago.
UTEP has had one golfer named as an All-Conference selection for each of the past three years.
