Chihuahuas Open Series Against Aces with a 9-4 Win

Thanks to four home runs hit, The El Paso Chihuahuas got a 9-4 series opening win over the Reno Aces Tuesday Night at Southwest University Park.

The home runs for the Chihuahuas started in the third inning when Matthew Batten hit his first of the season. Then in the sixth, Nomar Mazara celebrated his birthday by hitting a solo home run.

The fans at Southwest University got a special treat from the Chihuahuas in the eighth when Aderlin Rodriguez hit a grand slam home run that was followed by a Trace Thompson solo home run.

With the win the El Paso is now 10-9 and Reno is also 10-9. The teams will play a day game on Wednesday at 11:05 am that will feature San Diego pitcher Mike Clevinger doing some rehab pitching.
