UTEP Softball Concludes 2022 UTEP Invitational  

EL PASO, Texas – The UTEP softball team (4-2) fell to Abilene Christian (2-4), 1-5, in final day of the 2022 UTEP Invitational at the Helen of Troy Softball Complex on Sunday afternoon.   

The Miners got on the board in the bottom of the seventh on a Lexi Morales RBI single that scored Jordyn Lopez, but it was little too late as ACU scored four runs in the top of third.  

The Wildcats’ pitcher Sydney Holman-Mansell held the Miners’ bats in check, allowing only three hits. Ilena Santos and Marijn Crouwel tallied UTEP’s other hits.  

In the circle Annika Litterio threw a solid 4.0 innings tallying three strikeouts.
