UTEP Rifle Posts 2240 Smallbore in Day 1 of Patriot Rifle Conference Championships  

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The UTEP rifle team concluded its first day at the Patriot Rifle Conference Championships Saturday afternoon in Colorado Springs, Colo. with an aggregate 2240 in smallbore.   

Overall Standings  

Alaska-Fairbanks – 2363  

Ohio State – 2326  

Air Force – 2318  

Nebraska – 2315  

UTEP – 2240  

*TCU will be competing virtually
  
Alaska’s Kellen McAferty took the personal smallbore title with a 593. His teammate Gavin Barnick was right behind him with a 592. 
   

Isabel Brooks led the Miners in smallbore competition with a score of 579 while Amoret McCartney ranked second for the campaign with a 563. 
  
Brooks currently owns the UTEP’s best air rifle score this season when she fired a 586 against Air Force on Oct. 30 and against TCU/Nebraska on Nov. 13.
