The UTEP Miners Women’s Basketball team is now 6-1 after they beat the Texas State Bobcats 69-57 Monday night in San Marcos Texas.
The Miners were playing their first game since November 27 as they had to postpone or cancel a couple of game due to Covid protocols.
The fully rested Miners got off to a fast start as Katia Gallegos scored 6 quick points to start the game. The rest of the Miners would follower her lead as the Miners lead 25-19 after the first period.
In fact, UTEP would lead for the entire game.
The Miners were lead in points by Destiny Thurman as she scored 17 points. She had a great night shooting from the 3 point line as she made five 3 point shots.
