Aaron Jones, Angel Gomez and Jon Barela Honored at 2021 EPHCC Fiesta Celebration “Boots and Bowties” an Evening with Emmitt Smith

It was a star studded Saturday evening at the Historic Hotel Paso Del Norte as the El Paso Hispanic Chamber of Commerce celebrated its 31st anniversary. Due to the unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic there was no event held last year, but after 20 months the chamber gathered together to hear the inspirational stories of this years honorees which featured Jon Barela – CEO of The Borderplex Alliance receiving the ” 2021 Moving Forward” Award, Aaron Jones – Green Bay Packers Running Back and UTEP/Burges High Alumni receiving the “2021 Vision of Excellence” Award and Angel Gomez – Co-Founder of Operation H.O.P.E. receiving the “2021 Sol De Corazon” Award.

The evening was capped off with 2021 keynote speaker, NFL’s All Time Leading Rusher, Hall of Famer, Three Time Super Bowl Champion, Entrepreneur and Philanthropist Mr. Emmitt Smith.
