Alvin Jones Jr. signs with the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the CFL

Former UTEP Standout Alvin Jones Jr. has signed with new team, the Canadian Football League’ Saskatchewan Roughriders.

Jones Jr. signed with the Baltimore Ravens as an un drafted free agent in 2018 and spent much of 2018 and 2019 on the practice roster. Jones played in five preseason games on defense and special teams and made 18 tackles and one sack.

Jones Jr. received several awards for his accomplishments at UTEP, including being named a 2017 All-Conference USA Honorable Mention, 2016 All-Conference USA Second Team, 2015 All-Conference USA Honorable Mention and 2014 All-Conference USA Freshman.

The Saskatchewan Roughriders play in the West Division of the Canadian Football League.
