Locomotive FC Win 24th Match in a Row at Southwest University Park

The El Paso Locomotive FC won their 24th match in a row at Southwest University Park by dominating Austin Bold FC 3-0 on Wednesday night.

Austin Bold had no chance against a Locomotive team that was looking to bounce back from the weekends loss and came out firing on all cylinders. Aaron Gomez’s goal got the Locos on the board in the 23rd minute giving the them a 1-0 lead at halftime.

It wouldn’t take El Paso long to score in the second half as Lucho Solignac scored in the 48th minute, adding to his season leading goal count.

Goalkeeper Logan Ketterer would once again play a dominating game and Diego Luna would also add another goal in the 90th minute giving the Locos the dominating 3-0 win.

Here’s what coach Mark Lowry had to say after the match:

“It’s great to bounce back with the clean sheet and three goals. It was the response we were looking for. There was an opportunity for the guys tonight to do that, so I was excited for them going into the game. They had an opportunity to put the train back on track after a tough game a couple of days ago. They did it really well.”

With the win the Locos get 3 points and are 17-3-10, 61 points. They will close the home campaign of the regular season by hosting OKC Energy FC on Sunday, October 24 at Southwest University Park. Kickoff is set for 6:00 p.m. MT. The first 2,000 fans into the Stadium when gates open at 5:00 p.m. will receive a replica white jersey.
