The Montwood Rams, angry at how they lost to the Franklin Cougars the previous week, took out their frustrations on the Coronado Thunderbirds beating them 34-0.
The Rams dominated from the very start as they scored 14 points in the first quarter and they added another touchdown and extra point in the second to take a 21-0 lead at halftime.
Due to injures, Coronado had players from the JV team moved up to play in the game and their inexperience was apparent. The very young Thunderbird offense had trouble moving the ball in both halves of the game.
The Rams defense was superb as they denied Coronado any chance to score.
The Montwood offense once again lead by Kevin Melendez and Yamil Oaxaca had little trouble putting points on the board as they added another 13 points in the second half to give them the 34-0 shut out victory.
Next week the Rams will host the Eastwood Troopers and the Thunderbirds will take on the Americas Trailblazers.
