Round Rock Express Blanks Chihuahuas 4-0

The Round Rock Express shut out the El Paso Chihuahuas 4-0 on Saturday night at Dell Diamond. It was only the second time this season the Chihuahuas have been shut out.

Chihuahuas starter Brett Kennedy allowed four earned runs in 5.2 innings, his longest start of the year. El Paso reliever James Norwood struck out two batters in a scoreless eighth inning. Norwood now has 53 strikeouts in 31 Triple-A innings this season.

El Paso’s Jose Azocar went 1-for-4 to extend his hitting streak to 10 games. Pedro Florimón stole second base in the third inning and is now 10-for-10 in stolen base attempts this season. All three of the Chihuahuas hits Saturday were singles.
