Stephenville Beats Riverside 11-6 in Game One of 4A Regional Semifinals.

After being down 5-0 to the Stephenville Yellow Jackets, the Riverside Rangers rallied back and tied the game in the fourth inning but that’s as close as the Rangers would get as the Yellow Jackets pulled away and beat Riverside 11-6 in game one of the 4A Regional Semifinals.

The Yellow Jackets starred strong with five run first inning and their game plan of playing small ball worked very well. The Rangers wouldn’t get on the board until in the third inning, Diego Cardenas hit a 3 round double that made the score 5-3.

In the fourth Jesus Sanchez hit a two run double that tied the game at 5, but like I said earlier, that’s as close as Riverside would get.

Once Stephenville went to bat in the bottom of the fourth, they got hot scoring 3 runs to increase the lead to 8-5. They would add another run in the fifth and another two runs in the sixth inning to make it a final score of 11-6

The Rangers are gonna have to make adjustments if they hope to move on the next round, and to do that, they’re gonna have to beat Stephenville twice on Saturday.

Game two is at 10 a.m. on Saturday
